Down a long dusty road is a small winery that was almost never discovered. Gypsy Canyon Winery in Sta. Rita Hills sits on the oldest vineyard in Santa Barbara County. Planted with ancient Mission vines in 1887 and more recently Pinot Noir in 1999. Winemaker Deborah Hall makes historic California wine known as Angelica. as well as estate Pinot Noir. Using an organic approach, everything from the wine to the wax on the bottle is handmade. The wines are striking in their aromatic complexity, layered fruit and long, polished finish.
