We’re all about Pinot! Mostly Pinot Noir,
a little bit of Pinot Gris and even a sparkling, bubbly Rosé
de Noir. It’s finicky, unpredictable, sometimes quarrelsome
– but so delicious, intriguing and complex when coaxed into
becoming wine. Our Pinot Gris is released earliest, but all enjoy
a few months of bottle aging before release, when we think they’ve
settled down and are beginning to strut their stuff. We are increasing
our production slightly each year, making sure that we can still
pay close attention to each barrel.
With the 2002 vintage, we were very excited to
have achieved our vision of “A Tale (tail?) of Two Appellations”,
wherein we showcase the two incredible Pinot Noir regions of Santa
Barbara County – the Santa Maria Valley and Santa Rita Hills.
This expansion continued with the 2003 and 2004 vintages, adding
a few more vineyard designated wines. With the 2005 vintage, we
were thrilled to be able to expand our product offering even further
with our first white wine, our first sparkling wine and small lots
of clonal designated bottlings.
