Reeves Ranch

Reeves Ranch is a forty-acre property set amidst the oak-covered foothills overlooking the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley in Santa Barbara’s wine country. Here we grow three one-acre vineyards - all planted to Syrah. The terraced vineyards range from 1000' to 1200' in elevation, providing unique growing conditions that give the grapes a distinctive flavor not found in other areas of the Santa Ynez Valley.

Our vines typically yield under two tons per acre, from which we produce 400 cases of wine each year. This small production enables us to pay close attention to every aspect of the winemaking process, from the cultivation of the fields to the finished product. Our philosophy is to put the vineyard into the bottle with the least amount of interference.

Vineyard overseer, Felipe Hernandez, has been growing grapes in Santa Ynez for thirty years, having started at Firestone in the 1970’s when there were just a few wineries in Santa Barbara County. His experience is vital to the grape growing process. Working with him is vineyard manager Rogelio Ambrosio who tends to the vines on a daily basis.

The wine is produced at Terravant Wine Company, a state of the art custom crush facility in Buellton, under the careful supervision of Alan Phillips and the collaboration of owners Dan & Meghan Reeves.
