Family owned since 1973, Zaca Mesa Winery and Vineyards sustainably farms 200 acres and produces all estate Rhone varietals and chardonnay. Nestled back in Foxen Canyon, Zaca Mesa invites you to bring a lunch and picnic with a great bottle of one of our award-winning wines. The rustic barn winery and tasting room with the San Rafael Mountains as a backdrop provides an ideal spot to relax with friends and family and enjoy the experience of our great wine. Our well-trained staff can help guide you to the right wine selection.
The third winery established in Santa Barbara County, Zaca Mesa is known for not only producing great wines, but producing some of the region's best wine-makers. Ken Brown, Bob Lindquist, Jim Clendenen, Adam Tolmach, Lane Tanner, Benjamin Silver, Daniel Gehrs, and Clay Brock to name a few have come through "Zaca University". Current wine-maker Eric Mohseni and his team produce many affordable (under $20) 90+ point wines. Zaca Mesa's signature wine, the Black Bear Block Syrah, is the oldest syrah planting (1978) in Santa Barbara County. The 2009 Black Bear Syrah earned a 96 point score and Wine Enthusiast Top 100 ranking in 2013. Come celebrate life with good friends and good wine in a great setting.
