Nestled in the heart of the Sta. Rita Hills is Babcock Winery & Vineyards, where Bryan Babcock has been pursuing his unlimited passion for small production bottlings of unique, terroir driven wines since 1983.
In his farming, Bryan has developed a new concept, AGRISTHETICS, which is the treatment of an agricultural domain as a piece of art. In pursuing his vision, Bryan has been focused on reforestation and the design of butterfly sanctuaries, along with the development of a whole new farming method that seamlessly integrates his vines with the forces of nature.
In the tasting room, Bryan’s wife, Lisa, has created a wine savoring atmosphere that is difficult to capture in words. What used to be a warehouse full of barrels, is like a 5,000 square foot canvas where Lisa is simply testing the limits of soul. It’s a mid-century modern meets industrial chic fusion of art, antiques, vinyl, vintage, fashion and more, all in a room that is filled with music, laughter, great wine, picnic fare, and exceptional service.
The original tasting room is now home to the Soulstruck Lounge, homage to rock and roll, & 60’s & 70’s design. Open daily, and also available for private parties.
