The Sta. Rita Hills of Santa Barbara County, twelve miles from the Pacific Ocean, are a special place to grow Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Morning fog is followed by midday sun and strong ocean breezes. This produces a longer, cooler growing season, resulting in wines of exceptional concentration and character. When picked, the grapes possess a rare combination of full ripeness and excellent acidity. These grapes were grown without herbicide, with a strong focus on sustainable practices. We ferment and age our wines with minimal intervention.
